June 21, 2019 Wheaton hires Bowdoin All-American as coach Wheaton (Mass.) brought Sara Binkhorst back to Division III where she was an All-American guard at Bowdoin. She will be the Lyons' new head women's basketball coach, replacing Melissa Hodgdon.

March 5, 2014 Brickley Scores 1,000th Point In ECAC Tournament Loss To Framingham State NORTON, Mass. – Wheaton College junior forward Abbie Brickley (Sandy, Utah/Skyline) became the 12th student-athlete in program history to join the 1,000-point club on Wednesday night as she buried a layup from the right block just 12-seconds into the contest. The Lyons, seeded third in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament, went on to lose to the sixth-seeded Framingham State University Rams, 82-69, ending their season at 20-8 overall.
March 1, 2014 NEWMAC TOURNAMENT: #6 Springfield Clips #2 Wheaton, 78-63 NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Despite a career-high 26 points from junior forward Abbie Brickley (Sandy, Utah/Skyline), the second-seeded Wheaton College women's basketball team fell to sixth-seeded Springfield College, 78-63, in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament semifinal round on Saturday afternoon on the campus of first-seeded Smith College.
February 26, 2014 NEWMAC TOURNAMENT: #2 Wheaton Prevails Against #7 MIT, 62-46 NORTON, Mass. – Wheaton College women's basketball sophomore guard Rebecca Arnone (Litchfield, N.H./Campbell) poured in 13 points and collected six rebounds, four assists, a game-high four steals and one block to aid the second-seeded Lyons to a 62-46 victory over seventh-seeded MIT on Wednesday night in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament quarterfinal round.
